BBP Services
The simulation service, the dashboard and the published verification and validation results.
- The first on-demand API user, the website intensitylab.com, begins use of the BBP API to generate site-specific ground motions after significant earthquakes.
- Added a page describing the four ways to run the Broadband Platform, including the three free ones, and which situations call for a paid service like BBP Services.
- First public release. Register an account, build a simulation in the dashboard, see what it will cost before you commit, run it on demand, and download the seismograms, response spectra and rupture description it produces. The same jobs can be submitted directly to the API.
- All seven velocity-model regions are installed and both software versions are offered, so every event in the published validation suite can be simulated on either version and the two compared.
- Verification and validation results are published as they are produced, including where a simulation disagrees with what seismic stations actually recorded. Bias is reported period by period rather than as a single average, because a simulation can look good on average and still be well off at the period a particular structure responds at.
